Bass Desires

A topflight band, one of the '80s best groups. Bass Desires didn't merely rework older styles, but forged its own path. They did original compositions and extended material, left room for dense, exacting solos, but also stressed rhythmic vitality and appeal. The group had four excellent musicians in bassist Marc Johnson, guitarists Bill Frisell and John Scofield, plus drummer Peter Erskine. ~ Ron Wynn, Rovi
