Full Biography

  1. Originally calling themselves the Plumbers, the original lineup of All guitarist Stephen Egerton (drums) and All roadies Mike Moen (bass) and Daniel Snow (guitar) formed as a fill-in opening band for All during the late '80s. But because of the fact that Snow and Moen couldn't play their instruments, the two pretended that they were playing while All members Bill Stevenson and Karl Alvarez played guitar and bass behind a stack of amps. This fun of fooling an audience inspired the trio to actually learn how to play and become a real band. After another brief tour with All, the Plumbers eventually ended once Moen moved to the Northwest. Come 1996, Daniel Snow re-formed the band under the moniker of Bill the Welder due to the fact that he was the only original member. With the help of Dave Noonan (bass), Jason Livermore (drums), and Abe Brennan (guitar), the Fort Collins, CO-based band brought on their punk of Ramones, Circle Jerks, and Angry Samoans influence. Owned and Operated Records released Bill the Welder's self-titled first album in 1997. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
