Easley Blackwood

Blackwood studied with Messiaen, Hindemith and Boulanger. He took a position at University of Chicago in 1958 and has received many awards and prizes. His career as a pianist is marked by a challenging repertoire that includes the second sonatas of Charles Ives and Boulez, as well as solo works by Schoenberg, Berg and Webern.
