  1. Austin, TX-based modern rock ensemble Cord is centered around singer/songwriter Cord Carpenter (vocals/guitar/keyboards). Also featured are Robert Garcia (lead guitar), Tommy Munter (bass/vocals), and Johnny Villareal (percussion). Although originally hailing from central Texas, the band caught on locally in Austin and released its debut album, Who You Know, in 2005.
