Hobo Junction formed in 1990, based out of Oakland, California. As an active part of the West Coast hip-hop movement, they released their first effort " Whoriden." The underground success of the song resulted in the group forming Hobo Records in 1994. For the next couple of years, the label produced several albums, singles, and EPs for the group.
