London
Brit-pop is a form of Alternative Rock, heavy on melody and catchy choruses. But within these limitations the music is quite diverse, sometimes experimental, bordering on art-rock or a hard-rocking wall of sound with a serious dose of British attitude. Brit-pop began in the '80s and was condemned by critics to a short life span, but the music has maintained a unique slant on rock since then and continues to rock on. |
