JLS

British boy band JLS -- short for Jack the Lad Swing -- are best known for placing second behind winner Alexandra Burke on the fifth season of the reality talent show The X Factor in 2008. Featuring the vocal talents of Oritsé Williams, Aston Merrygold, Jonathan Gill, and Marvin Humes, JLS formed in London in 2007. Post-X Factor, JLS signed with Epic Records and released the single "Beat Again" in 2009. JLS' full-length self-titled debut album was released later that year. In 2010, on the heels of picking up a few Brit Awards, JLS released a six-song self-titled EP as well as their sophomore effort, Outta This World. The band returned in 2011 with the album Jukebox, featuring the single "She Makes Me Wanna." Also in 2011, JLS released the 3-D concert film and accompanying live album Eyes Wide Open. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
