Nikki & Rich are Nikki Leonti, a California-born pastor's daughter who grew up singing in church and later went on to sing back up for Carrie Underwood, and Rich Velonskis, a Queens, NY-born former DJ and established hip-hop/R&B producer who got his start spinning in New York City clubs as a teenager. A Grammy-nominated producer, Velonskis's credits include Eve, Robin Thicke, Mario, and Ludacris, under his moniker Rich Skillz.
Since they first began performing together two years ago, Nikki & Rich have appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and KCRW and were named Artists to Watch by the New York Post.
Their high energy, doo-wop-inspired single "Cat & Mouse" has been featured in the Paramount Pictures Film Morning Glory, the Lions Gate Film The Killers, HBO's Entourage and CW's 90210. Additionally, their track "Next Best Thing" has been featured in VH1's Basketball Wives and MTV's The City while a third track "Dreaming" can be heard in the opening credits of Fox Film's Just Wright and in an episode of WB's Hellcats.
