"By the first week in November, I should have finished the '60s album. At the moment it's called Toy." Matchbox Twenty guitarist Adam Gaynor has been reunited with his acoustic guitar, which was stolen during the band's Sept. 18 show in Gainesville, Fla., according to MTV News Online. HOB Entertainment Inc. has announced plans to open nine new venues in eight U.S. cities by next year. Six will be House of Blues clubs in San Diego; San Jose, Calif.; Anaheim, Calif.; Denver; Dallas; and Kansas City, Mo. Also planned are three large venues, including an indoor theater in San Jose for 7,000 to 8,000 people, and outdoor amphitheaters in Austin, Texas, and Salt Lake City that will seat as many as 20,000 people each. ... The Foo Fighters' current single, "Next Year," is the theme song to "Ed," a new NBC series that premiered Sunday (Oct. 8).
