contributions from punk rockers the Butchies and the Rock*A*Teens, as well as singer/songwriter Danielle Howle, is due March 6 on Ray's own Daemon Records, according to a statement from the label.

"Stag is heavily influenced by the musicians who helped create it," Ray said in a written statement. "The music of bands like the Butchies, the Rock*A*Teens and Danielle Howle is what truly inspired me to make this record."

Jett played guitar and sang on the track "Hey Castrator," which also includes Schellenbach and former Breeders bassist Josephine Wiggs.

Ray, backed by the Butchies, will support the album with a U.S. tour in late March and early April, according to her label.

Other tracks on the album include "Black Heart Today," "Late Bloom," "Johnny Rottentale," "Laramie," "Measure of Me," "On Your Honor," "Lucystoner," "Lazyboy" and "Mtns of Glory."

The Indigo Girls — Ray and fellow singer/songwriter Emily Saliers — released Come On Now Social last year, followed in October by the greatest-hits album Retrospective.
