Three Australian '80s pop/rock heavyweights - INXS, Midnight Oil, and Men at Work - will take to the road for a 22-date North American tour, kicking off May 28 in Atlanta and ending June 27 in Las Vegas.

Michael Hutchence, who died in 1997, as INXS's lead singer on what's being billed as the Great Australian Bite tour. Stevens has performed several shows with the group, including the Olympics' closing ceremony in Sydney in September. The band is set to release a 42-song compilation, Shine Like It Does (1979-1997), in June.

The politically charged Midnight Oil will alternate in the closing spot each night with INXS. Led by frenetic frontman Peter Garrett, who ran for a seat in the Australian Parliament in 1984, the group's biggest U.S. hit was 1988's "Beds Are Burning," which highlighted the conflict over aboriginal rights in Australia.

Wild-eyed singer Colin Hay and saxophonist Greg Ham are the only two remaining original members of Men at Work, best known for their hits "Who Can It Be Now?" and "Down Under."
