Ice Cube's film career is still going strong. The rapper/actor is reportedly set to star in "Barbershop," a comedy set to film in 2002.
Cube will play Calvin, the owner of a barber shop on the South Side of Chicago, according to the
Hollywood Reporter. He'll begin work on the "Diner"-meets-"Car Wash" project next year, following his stint on "Friday After Next," the newspaper said.
Cube also stars with Natasha Henstridge in "Ghost of Mars," a sci-fi flick directed by John Carpenter that hits theaters Friday.
