"Oh I believe in ... April Fool's Day." Paul McCartney may want to change
the words to his classic "Yesterday" when he kicks off his first tour in
nearly 10 years April 1 in Oakland, California.
The former Beatles singer will play 20 North
American dates before wrapping
up the Driving U.S.A. Tour May 17 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
McCartney will be promoting last year's Driving Rain solo album (see
"Guitars Blare On Paul McCartney's Driving Rain"), though fans can also expect to hear some past hits from the Beatles and Wings.
Before hitting the road, Sir Paul will head to the Academy Awards, where his
"Vanilla Sky" is nominated for Best Song (see " 'Lord of the Rings' Rounds Up
Most Oscar Nominations").
