Bronx heartthrob in a more hands-on role, co-writing more material than ever before, according to her Epic Records spokesperson.

The first single, "Jenny From the Block," was plucked from the Internet by a pop station in Hartford, Connecticut, and later distributed to other stations owned by Infinity Broadcasting.

Styles and Jadakiss from the L.O.X. are featured on the track, which was produced by Troy Oliver (J.Lo), Corey Rooney (Destiny's Child) and Tone & Poke (Cam'ron) and samples the Beatnuts' "Watch Out Now," Herbie Mann's "Hijack" and KRS-One's "South Bronx."

Lopez will shoot a video for the track, although no details have been finalized.

The singer's spokesperson said Lopez plans to take a break from acting to tour behind This Is Me ... Then in April.

Currently, Lopez is shooting "Jersey Girl" with writer/director Kevin Smith and co-star Ben Affleck, who previously worked with J. Lo on the forthcoming "Gigli," a comedy due next year (see "Jennifer Lopez Making A 'Dirty' Movie").
