The good news about Jennifer Lopez's homage to "Flashdance" in her "I'm Glad" video is that she's apparently so impressive that the studio behind the 1983 film is talking with the actress about a remake. The bad news is Paramount Pictures is
A spokesperson for Epic Records said the issue is being settled and had no further comment. J. Lo's spokesperson said "Flashdance" is one of her favorite movies and that the "I'm Glad" video is meant to pay tribute to the film (see "J. Lo Is Jenny From The Past In Clip For 'I'm Glad' "). Lopez is currently shooting "An Unfinished Life" with Robert Redford and "Cider House Rules" director Lasse Hallström (see "Robert Redford Joins Cast Of J. Lo's Next Movie Project"). Morgan Freeman and Josh Lucas have recently signed on to the production. The future Mrs. Ben Affleck will appear next with her fiancé in "Gigli," which hits theaters August 1.
