To all the naysayers out there who think that the Jonas Brothers have peaked: Think again. Demand for presale tickets for the Jonas Brothers' upcoming tour was so
high on Monday that it caused the Jonas Brothers fan club site to crash, according to Rolling Stone.
The site reportedly crashed approximately 30 minutes before the 10 a.m. presale time. Even though a lot of fans were able to get tickets to the shows, the site was reportedly still down five hours after the initial crash. A message on the site read, "We are experiencing very high volume at the moment. Please check back with us in a few moments."
As of Tuesday (March 24) the site was up and running again. More presales for additional dates are expected to take place on Wednesday.
A statement was eventually released by the Jonas Brothers camp addressing the problem; the flashing message could be seen when visitors to the site tried to go to the home page early Tuesday.
"Due to overwhelming demand among Team Jonas members for pre-sale tickets for the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009, the official Team Jonas fan club Web site experienced intermittent problems this morning, causing delays among members attempting to connect to purchase tickets," the statement reads. "For those of you still needing access codes, we are in the process of contacting fan club members individually with a solution so that you can purchase tickets as soon as possible. Rest assured that only Team Jonas fan club members will continue to have exclusive access to purchase tickets for the next 36 hours (through 10 a.m. ET, Wednesday March 25). Thank you for being a part of Team Jonas."
The tour kicks off on June 20 in Dallas. The boys will be hitting the road with Jordin Sparks and Honor Society.
