Lady Gaga is still a mysterious figure in the pop-music landscape. But her design team, Haus of Gaga, is one of the greatest secret crews working in the music business today. Aside from the fact that
they design almost everything Gaga wears, little else is known about them.
We do know, however, that they are hard at work coming up with crazy cool outfits for her upcoming Monster Ball Tour.
"Well, right now, they're downtown in this warehouse designing and making everything for the tour," she revealed to MTV News. "And they're probably screaming at each other."
The design house is about much more than just coming up with Gaga's unbelievable fashion, the singer insisted. "They're my best friends," she said. "I'm not really sure what the world thinks ... but I do hear things like, 'Who is the Haus of Gaga?' and, 'Are you putting out a fashion line?' And no one gets it. It's not a commodity. It's not something that's meant to be sold."
Gaga said that aside from being co-workers, the Haus crew are also her closest allies. "It's a real bond and relationship, and that's what I think music and art is about," she said. "They are my heart and soul. They believe in me, and they look at me like a mother and daughter and sister, with pride and love."
The Monster Ball Tour kicks off November 27 in Montreal and wraps up in January at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
