Turn," she appears to be cowering from something.

In the photo that surfaced over the weekend, Rihanna is topless and wearing torn-up jeans with fishnet tights, heavy eye makeup, red lipstick and a chain-link necklace. She's covering her chest with one arm and has the other on her forehead as she looks down and to the side. Calls to Rihanna's reps to for comment had not been returned at press time.

This is the third provocative image that Rihanna has released as artwork for her forthcoming release, Rated R, due out on November 23. In the art for the first single, "Russian Roulette," she wears a blond, slicked-back Mohawk, an eye patch and a corset. She's topless and tied up in barbed wire, but she looks defiantly at the camera, mouth slightly open, as she holds a chain hanging from the ceiling.

Late last month, the cover art for Rihanna's album leaked, showing the singer in a moody, contemplative pose reminiscent of outrageous 1980s avant-garde singer Grace Jones. For that photo, Rihanna is wearing a leather top and an intricate set of rings on the hand covering her right eye.

The album cover was shot by Ellen Von Unwerth, who called Rihanna "so beautiful, sweet and tough at the same time — and a pleasure to shoot" in an interview with PopEater.com. "[She is] fantastic to work with — very giving, very creative, very involved in every aspect of the shoot and ready to push the boundaries."
