Celine Dion get into a room together, they'd be too jaded to get starstruck by the other A-listers in attendance. But when more than 80 singers, rappers and actors gathered on Monday to re-record "We are the World" to benefit the victims of the earthquake in Haiti, they were all pretty impressed by each other.

"We're grateful because so many artists showed up," Wyclef Jean said. "I think we have an all-star cast. Of course, there's always artists that you wish was here, but every artist that I can think of... I seen Pink, Pink is incredible. Tyrese, Will.I.Am, Kanye West, I can keep going, so the room is definitely packed with stars."

Tyrese noted, "I've never been in a room full of that many of my peers ever. I'm starstruck." And Jordin Sparks added that the vibe was similar to that of a major award show.

"It's kind of like when you go to an awards show and everybody's there, and you're like, 'I can't believe everyone's here,' " she explained. "Except this time, they're not posing for pictures. They're not doing interviews. They're just there for the music, and I'm just, like, standing next to Rob Thomas on this side; Lil Wayne is in front of me; Brandy, Tyrese and then Natalie Cole is down there."

Even veterans like Celine Dion couldn't help but be overtaken by the talent in the room. "For me, it's always an amazing opportunity to work with amazing people that I admire a lot," she said. "I was working with Lionel Richie, and I was beside Quincy Jones, and even though I've been doing this work for a long, long time, I'm still extremely impressed."

"I think we all turned into groupies," R&B singer Anthony Hamilton added. "Everybody had a camera out and was filming. I think even Tony Bennett probably had a handheld and was like, 'Oh my God, Lil Wayne.' "

"American Idol" judge Randy Jackson noted that the gathering proved that when times are tough, people will always work together. "It makes me proud for the human spirit, for us to come together in a time when we need to help people," he said. "I think this is a great moment in time, and I wasn't going to miss it for anything."
