The phrase "ear candy" may take on a whole new meaning with the
introduction of Pop Radio, a new device that uses a lollipop and
"patented denta-mandibular technology" to deliver FM radio signals
directly to users' inner ears. Rockers Sugar
Ray and Hootie
and the Blowfish and pop star Brandy will appear in TV
commercials in the fall touting the brand, according to its
manufacturers, Tiger Electronics and Sound Bites. When users put a
lollipop attached to Pop Radio in their mouths, they will be able to
hear the FM station of their choice inside their heads, thanks to
sonic vibrations that travel from their teeth to their inner ears,
according to the manufacturers.
