Zooma mixes hard-rock sounds that are occasionally reminiscent of Zeppelin with more-atmospheric styles, according to Jones' official website (www.john-paul-jones.com). Since Led Zeppelin's 1980 breakup, Jones has worked as a producer and arranger for such bands as the Butthole Surfers and R.E.M., and collaborated on the 1994 album Sporting Life with avant-garde singer Diamanda Galas.
