the tour, which features pop-rockers Remy Zero as the opening act, Sept. 13 at New York's Bowery Ballroom.

The outing originally was scheduled for July; it was postponed after the mother of Manic Street Preachers singer James Dean Bradfield became ill.

This Is My Truth Now Tell Me Yours, released June 8, includes the single "If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next" (RealAudio excerpt). The album won the award for Best British Album at this year's Brit Awards, the English equivalent of the Grammys.

The band, which emerged in 1991 from Blackwood, Wales, lost its original lyricist and guitarist, Richey James (born Richey Edwards), after he disappeared without explanation. The band's first album after James' disappearance, Everything Must Go (1996), became its biggest success. James' whereabouts still have not been established.

Despite the band's massive popularity in England, it has yet to achieve more than cult status in the U.S.
