Drummer Billy Conway and saxophonist Dana Colley, the surviving
members of Morphine, will join with seven other musicians as the
Orchestra Morphine to tour behind the band's final studio album, The
Night,
according to a statement from the band's publicity firm. Many of the
additional musicians, including bassist Mike Rivard, previously have
played with Morphine. The five-date tour is scheduled to begin Feb. 4 in
Northhampton, Mass., and to end March 8 in New York. Morphine frontman Mark
Sandman died July 3 in Rome, suffering a heart attack while onstage. He was
46. The Night is scheduled for release Feb. 1.
