Following his recent arrest in Australia for drunken driving, Foo
Fighters singer Dave Grohl posted a note on the band's official
Web site, saying, "[I]f there's anything to learn, ... it's don't drive
after a few beers, even if
you feel entirely capable, like I did." Grohl
was arrested Jan. 23, while driving a rented motor scooter along Australia's
Gold Coast, during the Big Day Out festival. The DUI charge landed the
singer a $400 [$255 U.S.] fine and got his driving privileges suspended for three
months. In the note, the Foo Fighter frontman said he was not stopped for
reckless driving but that he'd been snared in a police breathalyzer
checkpoint, where he was found to be over the legal limit. A band
spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the posting.
