LISTEN UP: Bob Dylan, Chaperone to the Indie Kids

Bob Dylan

  • The Austin City Limits Festival announced its ridiculously jam-packed lineup today, featuring more or less every good band from the last ten years of music, all to be headlined by the indiest indie kid of them all: Bob Dylan. Brooklyn Vegan posts an mp3 of Wilco performing “Bob Dylan’s 49th Beard” to make you more confused.
  • In case you never managed to shell out $75 to see Bjork’s legendary live show, you can at least grab these live tracks from A Musical Swap Meet, then Photoshop a tiny picture of Bjork onto an enormous stage and look at it while you play these songs. That’s how I got to see The Beatles in concert.
  • I don’t understand a word on the blog Golfo!, but they posted a bunch of algunas rarezas de los Beastie Boys, which you can download onto your biblioteca and listen to while at cabeza.
  • Culture Deluxe features a new acoustic track from The Hold Steady, as well as some informative mp3s of Craig Finn talking about his influences. Which really doesn’t sound a whole lot different from Craig Finn singing.
  • Indieblogheaven has a track from the band Sea Wolf called “You’re a Wolf.” This is not to be confused with Wolf Parade, or Voxtrot’s “Raised By Wolves,” or the show “Airwolf,” or the video game “Operation: Wolf,” or the “Lone Wolf” series of choose-your-own-adventure books (anyone?)
