The Wired blog alerts us to an AMAZING set of pictures from the brand new Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, courtesy of Zachary Lynn. We have a basic understanding of Creationism (if you’ve got a spare 8 hours, you can check out its wiki page), but these pictures are really opening our eyes to what it’s all about. So won’t you join hands, grab an apple, and take a walk with us through some of the highlights of the museum?
Here are some of the things we’ve gathered about Bible times:
According to this sculpture, the Bible thought the dinosaurs were kind of gay. Look at that face! You know he’s thinking “Let’s grab some margies after work and just chillax!” Margaritas + Small Arms = Good times.
Jeez, the sheep really look terrified. We just can’t imagine why!
More pictures (including one from the Sheep:Bodies exhibit!) after the jump.
I… see… aw, look at his pathetic little eyeball staring up at you. Paging cute overload! I will spend the next 5 minutes staring at this picture while listening to Elton John‘s “Sacrifice”, as it’s the only way I remember what it’s like to truly feel.
Looks like Adam and Eve are real torn up about it. Either that or they are laughing their asses off. Or arguing about the best way to season it.
We find the lack of genitals in this skinemax rendering very off-putting. Throw in a rib bone or something, Creation Museum! These kooky kids are gonna go nuts out there!
Seems like God was sort of passive aggressive.
The only thing we can tell these people is to “Hang in There!”
Yup, we still didn’t learn anything. Oh well, maybe next museum!
