Oprah’s Mom Sues Clothing Company For Giving Her Credit

Earlier this month, Valentina, Inc., a clothing store in Brookfield, Wisconsin, sued Vernita LeeOprah Winfrey‘s mom—for not paying the $155k she racked up on her credit line. Now Lee is countersuing that Valentina never should have given her that “VIP” credit line in the first place, because she’s old and stupid.

Lee had a similar issue with the store over a $175k bill in 2002, and a resolution was supposedly created to keep the company from extending her credit further. So it’s the company’s fault for letting her continue to put expensive clothes on her account even though she suffers a “lack of knowledge, ability, and-or capacity” to handle such things.

Oprah, step in already. Your mom is running around town, taking fancy clothes and saying she’s too incompetent to understand that you have to pay for them. Put this crazy bat in a home or give her enough money that she can pay up front. We know you have it!
