Gentlemen (and hopeful ladies), form an orderly queue as Katy Perry is seeing in 2009 as a single lady. The British papers are reporting that she’s called it a day with boyfriend of two years, Travis McCoy, after what else — a “series of rows”. (Surely not? Arguments leading to the end of a relationship? No way!) Cue loads of cheesy headlines, ‘I dissed a boy’ etc etc.
“It’s sad, but they were fighting a lot in recent months because they never saw each other. When somebody becomes very famous very quickly their relationship usually suffers. She’s going through such a huge time at the moment so needs to be on her own,” reports the News of the World.
Even juicier (we love the Internet), Travis has posted his post-dump rage on his blog, composing a rant where he slates his ex for treating him like a “burnt piece of bacon” (?) and “you don’t like the fact that I’m me.” It opens:
“We fight every night, now that’s not kosher
I reminisce [sic] with bliss of when we was closer
And wake up to be greeted by an argument again
You act like you’re ten”
Aw, we’re feeling your pain, bro. But surely hitching your post to your laptop rather than a lady (“My Laptop is my new b–. LOYAL. LISTENS. and NEVER LET’S ME DOWN.”) isn’t the solution? [Photo: Getty Images]
