On March 25th, T.I. will finally begin his year-and-a-day long prison sentence for illegally stockpiling automatic weapons. Unlike most felons convicted on gun charges, T.I. got to spend a year between his conviction and jail term filming movies, videos and a reality show, releasing a hit album, touring, performing at award ceremonies, birthday parties and inaugural balls. He even fielded rumors that he’d be named president of Atlantic Records. Why was he free to do all this? So he could do 1,000 hours of community service, telling children that they shouldn’t illegally stockpile automatic weapons because,well, it might hurt your career…if you aren’t lucky enough to be him. If it wasn’t for the sentence, he’d probably still be talking about his multiple personalities.
