Chris Brown wants us all to know that Rihanna apparently hit him first in their now-epic battle. Legal experts consulted by Brown’s reps believe that because RiRi smacked him “numerous times” after reading his text messages, him hitting her back is not a felony. The singer is now fighting for a misdemeanor plea with no jail time for his allegedly horrendous behavior.
But while Brown’s “experts” may be technically right, there’s a lot of damning evidence that could hold up against Brown in court. According to the search warrant, the singer sent a text to Rihanna’s assistant apologizing for the abuse and insisting that he was getting help. She also told cops that this was not the first instance of violence in their relationship. Even worse for Brown are pictures of Rihanna taken after he pummeled her, in which the serious nature of her injuries clearly show Brown’s physical strength and violence.
