New York congressman Pete King is all worked up about Michael Jackson, even though the singer – and his death – has absolutely nothing to do with the district he represents on Long Island. In a YouTube video posted over the weekend, King railed against our country’s current obsession with the death of a man he calls a ” pervert, a child molester,” and “a pedophile.”
His general point – that America is freaking out over a tragic and shady musician instead of praising the hard men and women fighting our wars, working in our hospitals and protecting our country – is sound, but doesn’t chiming in only make him part of the problem?
