When you think of bottom-feeding fame whores, you usually think of people like Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, people with no discernible talents who clamor to be in the pages of Star magazine. You don’t usually think of the writers for Star themselves, but Kate Major has blurred the line between reporter and reportee in a gross way. Major had quite a time about two weeks ago when she went from obscure tabloid writer to reality star girlfriend to Jon Gosselin. After she resigned from Star for this conflict of interest, Jon resigned from the relationship, citing no interest. Now that she’s on the verge of obscurity again, she’s doing anything she can to stay at the public eye, even it it just means talking about Jon to anyone who will listen.
In an interview with E! Online, Major said, “I definitely think Jon has feelings for me and cares about me a lot.” Then, martyr that she is, she explained that she’s fine with an unrequited love, saying, “If we’re better off as friends and that means that people kinda leave him alone and just let him be the dad that he wants to be, then I’m willing to do that for him.” Remember, she has known him for maybe three weeks – max. She is also “not sure” she wants to be a stepmother to eight kids, although we think it’s about time someone re-made “Eight is Enough,” and what better way to put a 21st century spin on the show by turning into a reality train wreck sponsored by Ed Hardy?
