It was a coincidence that Kanye West was scheduled to appear on the premiere of Jay Leno‘s new talk show the night after making worldwide headlines, but he wasn’t supposed to be a sit-down guest with Leno, he was just going to perform. However, after he realized what an ass he made of himself at the VMAs, he requested an interview with Leno to clear the air and tell America that he has a lot of thinking to do and what he’s done.
West told Leno, “Dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away, you know, from a talented artist—or from anyone—because I only wanted to help people. . .It’s actually someone’s emotions that I stepped on. It was rude, period. I’d like to apologize to her in person.” West, who lost his mother last year, explained away his actions, saying, “You know, obviously, I deal with hurt and, you know, so many celebrities, they never take the time off, and I’ve never taken the time off, just music and music and tour after tour, and I’m ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt.”
Has Kanye not seen Taylor’s video for “The Best Day,” which is a tribute to her own mother? Maybe Mrs. Swift can take him in and help everyone heal together. Reality show premise?
