What a long, strange trip it’s been: the New York Post reports that Jon & Kate Plus 8 will stop running new episodes in November. While TLC’s statement seems open-ended in regards to spin-offs for the five-season-running show, sources claim the network is holding off on any more Kate Plus 8 chat until the divorcing couple’s courtroom drama has subsided and Jon figures out just how much money he would need to let his kids back on the air.
Unless they can maneuver around his legal threats, the problem for TLC is that Jon’s far more interested in getting himself back on air than his kids. “[I'll] continue on television, JoGo told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m not worried about future employment.” Unless he starts getting better offers than Michael Lohan‘s Celebrity Boxing Tournament, he should be.
