Selena Gomez may not be a superstar yet, but she already knows how to diversify her money streams. The Disney singer/actress has announced her own clothesline, Dream Out Loud. The self-professed aesthetic is “pretty, loud and bohemian.” “It’s really always been a dream of mine to have a line,” said Gomez, who will approve all the designs.
“With my line, I really want to give the customer options on how they
can put their own looks together,” said Gomez, explaining why her models look like they’re being paid by the clashing layer. “I want the pieces that
can be easy to dress up or down, and the fabrics being eco-friendly and
organic are superimportant. Also, the tags will all have some of my
inspirational quotes on them. I’m just looking to send a good message.” Sounds like they’ve got everything figured out—so why isn’t it launching until Fall 2010? Maybe she still needs to think of something inspirational to say. How about, “she’s laughing now, but your mom overaccessorized as a teenager too”?
