Awards season 2010 is heating up! Just yesterday we learned what stars scored Critics’ Choice Movie Awards nominations, and today we’ve got the Golden Globes list to peruse. Up in the Air and Nine are once again at the front of the movie pack, with six and five nods, respectively. In what’s sure to be a gnarly fight, Meryl Streep is up against – who else - Meryl Streep for Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy for her work in Julie & Julia and It’s Complicated. Sandra Bullock is also nominated twice – in each Best Actress category for her work in The Proposal and The Blind Side.
On the TV front, we were psyched to see our new favorite show “Modern Family” up for Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical, alongside “Glee,” which got four nods. January Jones is repping “Mad Men” in the Best Actress category, where a win could help the world forget about her disastrous stint on “SNL” earlier this fall. Got favorites? Share ‘em in the comments below, and let the Globes begin!
