The good news: Russell Brand confirmed that he and Katy Perry are engaged. The bad: he apparently did it by texting British tabloid The Sun—so don’t take that grain of salt out just yet. “It’s true. Much love,” Brand reportedly responded to their query about the impending nuptials, otherwise maintaining radio silence.
In what may or may not be a coincidence, the partypoopers at Gossip Cop have changed Perry’s manager’s quote about the marriage rumor yesterday from “not accurate” to “can’t confirm” (though you can still see the original headline in the html). As for the wife-to-be herself, Perry’s Twitter continues to offer nothing but Indian-vacation-related rapture. “Do not let Epcot Center fool you, you have to see for yourself.” You know what else we have to see for ourselves, Katy?
