Insecure, Maternal Megan Fox May Just Be Likable After All

Megan “Toe Thumbs” Fox has always rubbed us the wrong way, probably because we’re the kind of gal who gets easily jealous of people whose beauty is so perfect it looks as if it was created in a science lab. Turns out, we’re exactly the kind of girl Megan Fox doesn’t like. In an interview with W magazine, she opens up about her numerous insecurities and general quirks, and we were shocked when we found that after reading it all, we actually hated her a wee bit less. “I don’t trust people in this industry,” says Fox, “but I especially don’t trust girls in this industry, because it’s incredibly competitive, and I’m just not interested.”

We get it! Were we in an industry where we were judged solely on our looks, we’d probably hate everyone too. Meg also comes across as surprisingly humble (crazy, we know!). She says of her acting career: “I wasn’t born with a talent for doing this, I just was born with a need to do it,” and describes herself as extremely maternal, complete with fears that she may never be able to pop a kid out.  “I worry that because I’ve always wanted [kids] so much, as the world goes sometimes, I won’t be able to have them, even though I would be able to provide them with such an amazing environment,” she says earnestly. “And you know, the people who hate kids and don’t want kids always end up having 50 of them.”

Wow. We LOLed at that. She’s dark, she’s funny, she’s…likable? Could it really be? Just when we were on the fence, we came across this moment in the story, and were officially sold on ol’ Meggie Blue Eyes. “My main weakness is nerves,” says Megan. “I have no confidence, and because of that I’m always second-guessing myself.”

Yep, we don’t just like the girl, we downright love her.  [Photo: GettyImages]
