With Charlie Sheen out of rehab and back to work, all that stands between him and who-knows-how-many-more multi-million dollar Two And A Half Men paychecks is that wife Brooke Mueller accused Sheen of holding a knife to her throat over Christmas weekend in Aspen…and the authorities haven’t forgotten. According to Radar, Sheen will use Mueller’s recent trips to rehab to dismiss her testimony if he can’t plea his way out of the felony menacing charge. “Charlie is going to contend that everything Brooke told police isn’t true,” says their source. “That she was out of her head, that she was so messed up she didn’t know what was going on.” Mueller, while asking for charges to be dropped, has yet to rescind her account.
“She partied hard before the incident. She drank heavily and she smoked crack. And Charlie is fully prepared to use that as part of his defense…We’re talking about someone who was wasted at 8 in the morning and who smoked crack.” But even if he succeeds in discrediting the mother of his newborn twins (and presumably endangering their custody rights), a high-profile court drama (the prosecution is allegedly prepared to call ex-wife Denise Richards and others to discuss his violent past) and new rumors of drug-fueled three-ways and renewed prostitution use, Sheen may be headed for a career trainwreck no matter what the verdict is.
