Chloe Sevigny Slams Big Love, “It Girls”—But Loves 3D Hockey

Chloe Sevigny

We loooove Chloe Sevigny—there’s a reason she won a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe for Big Love despite the competition on that show alone—and her recent AV Club interview just underlined her awesomeness. Admitting last season was a “very telenovela” (“It was awful this season, as far as I’m concerned. I’m not allowed to say that!”), Sevigny revealed the cast has no idea what will happen episode to episode (much like the audience!), even admitting she “doesn’t own a TV” and failed to catch the season finale. She also spoke out on her ’90s “it girl” status (“I think that the “It girl” label is for girls who don’t really do anything…It’s just girls that are like at parties, or rich girls, or girls of the moment”) and denied being a hipster (“I feel like I’m old enough that I’m not a hipster. I was pre-hipster. I was an alternative kid. I was a skater kid.”) before admitting “I don’t know what the hell I’m doing.”

This last tidbit might explain why Sevigny attended a viewing party for the first hockey game shown in 3-D at Madison Square Garden yesterday, joined by such hipster luminaries as supermodel Hillary Rhoda, 30 Rock‘s Katrina Bowden and original KISS drummer Peter Criss (the cat!). And what goes with 3-d glasses like a suit jacket, tucked in t-shirt and ripped jeans? Chloe, you will always be our “it girl.”
