One of the luxuries of being Britney Spears is that, no matter what slight imperfections her body may have, there’s always an opportunity to Photoshop them out. In a bold new campaign for Candie’s, Spears has opted against airbrushing, however, to show her body exactly as it is: a little bruised, some dry skin, but still pretty impressive. A source told the Daily Mail that the reason for the campaign is because “Britney is proud of her body – imperfections and all.”
In a series of two shots showing the before-and-after effects of airbrushing, it’s evident that even though Britney has a body most people would kill for, it’s important for her skin to look as overexposed and plastic as possible, and for her muscle tone to be softened to the point of marshmallow-y smoothness. The first set of pictures show Britney from the back with cellulite-free skin and a significantly smaller butt. The second picture shows her from the front, where it appears she had some bruises and a few inches of waistline removed.

Personally we think the ads are pretty awesome and she looks great in the “before” shots – for a mother of two, she’s got a pretty kickass body even without the heavy-handed lighting and retouching.
