Alexa Ray Joel, daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley, has been trying to break into the music industry for a while, performing on TV and touring since 2006. Things haven’t gone so great–reaching a low with a pill-popping incident last December–but she recently scored her highest profile gig yet, as the new face (and voice) of Prell. “I am so excited and honored to be named the new face of Prell,” she exclaimed in a statement. “Especially following in the footsteps of my mother, who was a Prell girl!” Gee, what a coincidence! Think she used an alias at her audition, like Tori Spelling allegedly did for Beverly Hills, 90210? Maybe someday she won’t have to bring up her parents the second she appears on TV!
The nationally running ad will not only give everyone a chance to marvel at the merger of Joel and Brinkley genes, but provide many their first chance to hear those promising pipes.
