Tito Ortiz was in tears after his arrest for allegedly attacking girlfriend Jenna Jameson, but he’s not apologizing. Speaking at a press conference in Hollywood yesterday, the mixed martial artist claimed the mother of his year-old twin sons is suffering from an addiction to OxyContin. “My parents have been through an addiction and I see it in the mirror again. I am not going to let my family go through that…I speak from my heart, I hold everything dear to my heart that Jenna will be okay.” “Tito was trying to help her, she has threatened suicide before,” said Ortiz’s attorney, suggesting any injury was caused by Jameson’s “emotional meltdown” following her confrontation by Ortiz. “When you’re dealing with people on OxyContin they don’t always have the best sense of balance.”
Denying any dependency issues, Jameson told TMZ his claims were “the last nail in the coffin.” In her version, the former porn star “said something very hurtful to [Ortiz's] ego.” “[He] threw me into the bathtub and tore two ligaments in my shoulder.” Talking to Radar before Ortiz’s public statement, Jameson suggested the pair could still work things out. “I think everyone deserves forgiveness. I think couples therapy is highly imperative in this case. He hasn’t apologized yet because he’s not allowed to contact me, but I know he’s willing to work on it. He’s dealing with a lot right now, but he needs to learn to deal with it in a different way.” According to Jameson, who says she’ll file charges, she and Ortiz are not allowed to speak for a month due to an impending restraining order.
