Well, isn’t this convenient. Sandra Bullock will be on the cover of People talking about her decision to file for divorce against philandering husband Jesse James, but she won’t be alone. America’s favorite Oscar winner has been in the process of adopting a baby from New Orleans for the last few months, and she’s using her exclusive interview to introduce 3 1/2th month old Louis. “He’s just perfect, I can’t even describe him any other way…It’s like he’s always been a part of our lives.” Despite her use of our—and the fact that Louis has allegedly been living with Bullock and James’ family since before the Oscars—she’s completed the adoption process as a single parent.
“Yes, I have filed for divorce,” Bullock confirmed to People, admitting “I’m sad and I’m scared.” More details are certain to come in the full interview, but without them it’s hard not to feel a little queasy about a star shoving an adopted baby in our face after a family scandal.
