A&E Upfronts: A Whole Lotta Danza Goin’ On

The A&E upfronts for the network’s upcoming 2010-2011 season were chock full of people we thought would be blissfully living in obscurity by now. Alas, there are more than enough actor/singer/comedians out there willing to do a reality show to cling to what fame they have left and they are all on A&E this year. Lest you think we’d be rid of Tony Danza, Bob Saget, William Shatner and David Hasselhoff by now, you are sorely mistaken.

Saget will be appearing in a travel show called Strange Days With Bob Saget, where the comedian will travel in search of “subcultures on which to riff,” which sounds to us like he’s going to look for like, tanorexic vegans who live in treehouses and then make fun of them. David Hasselhoff’s unnamed new show will feature his daughters’ and their attempts at music careers (paging Brooke and Hulk Hogan). And Danza will star in Teach: Tony Danza which chronicles Danza’s aspirations to teach high school. As much as we’re lamenting the death of scripted television, we’d still rather watch any of these than have to sit through an episode of Full House.
