Katherine Heigl may not have liked Grey’s Anatomy enough to finish the season, but she’s apparently proud of the episodes she did show up for. Despite pulling herself out of the running for an Emmy in 2008 (claiming the show’s writers didn’t give her material worthy of own), Heigl has made herself eligible for a Best Supporting Actress In A Drama Series trophy this year (she won in 2007). It’s likely a non-issue—hard to believe voters will want to celebrate her walking off the program (though they might want to see Heigl repeat her ShoWest wardrobe malfunction)—but folks looking for reasons to be annoyed with the persnickety star…here ya go.
Still hungry, haters? Check out this clip of Heigl telling CNN at the Killers premiere why “someone needs to get in there and do what we can to stop” the oil spill in the Gulf Coast. “There’s lots of, you know, lots of animal life and sea life that are being killed by this.”
Wow, between Heigl’s expert testimony and Ashton Kutcher‘s crayon comments for sex traffickers, the stars of Killers sure did their part to make the world a better place. Hopefully they’ve made themselves eligible for the Nobel.
