Poor Justin Bieber - as big a star as he is, he still has to reconcile with the fact that he is but a wee lad of only 16. Technically not old enough for an R-rated movie, and definitely not old enough to drink alcohol. Both those things added up to what we imagine is a hilarious scene at a Massachusetts multiplex on Saturday, because Bieber was thrown out of his seat at a screening of Get Him To The Greek for being under age. The theater offers premium seating (which includes a bar) for its patrons who are over 21, so Bieber’s bodyguard and manager opted to sit there, but when Bieber tried to join them, management gave him the old wag of the finger and he was relegated to the general admission seats. (We assume he sat with his ever-present Mama Bieber.)
In the best quote ever, Biebs explained his outrage, saying “Chuck E. Cheese sells alcohol and I have no problem getting in there!” With an endorsement like that, we expect Chuck E. Cheese to become the Studio 54 of the under-17 celebrity crowd. Only the phrase “ball pit” will have a totally different meaning than it did at the real Studio 54.
