Tori Spelling has lashed out at tabloids that claimed that her dramatic weight loss is the result of an eating disorder. Spelling says illnesses like swine flu caused her weight loss over the past year, due to a sensitive stomach combined with a course of antibiotics.
Spelling explained that the comments about her weight hurt because, as a former television star of a teen soap opera where she got her role because of her famous dad, she knows people look up to her. “I’m a role model for a lot of women out there, so I hate that they say these things unwarranted, without any research and facts. I think it’s doing a disservice to women out there that look up to any celebrity,” Spelling told USA Today. To those women who do look up to Tori, to the point where they buy her punny-titled memoirs, the latest one called Uncharted TerriTORI will reveal all her health struggles that lead to the weight loss.
