This is a rough week for a lot of washed-up celebrities who can’t give up the sauce. First it was Chris Klein‘s arrest for DUI, then yesterday Vince Neil was arrested for drunk driving, and now, even more tragic, Melrose Place actress Amy Locane has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide after a day spent boozing.
Locane was taken into custody after being involved in two separate crashes, one of them fatal. After admittedly drinking several glasses of wine during the day, Locane was involved in a hit-and-run in Princeton, NJ where she left the scene to the crash. The driver of the car she hit in Princeton tailed her to Montgomery, NJ, where Locane slammed her car into the passenger side of another vehicle, killing the passenger, Helene Seeman, and injuring Seeman’s husband, Fred. He is still in critical condition.
Locane, whose married name is Amy Locane-Bovenizer, has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and third-degree assault by automobile. She was arraigned yesterday and bail was set at $50,000. She could face 5-10 years in state prison if she’s convicted.
