This is interesting. Katy Perry has dissed Miley Cyrus, saying she is going to become the next Britney Spears on account of the fact that she dresses scantily for her performances. Yes, boob-tastic Katy Perry thinks Miley should cover up. According to an insider at Life & Style magazine, Perry was watching Cyrus perform at the Much Music Awards in Canada and the source says “She looked to her friend and said, ‘Oh my God, poor girl.’ Katy said, ‘She’s Britney Spears all over again. It’s happening right before our eyes.’ When her friend asked if she meant Lindsay Lohan, not Britney, Katy said, ‘No, she’s definitely headed the Britney route. It’s worse. Look at those outfits. It’s bad.’”
We’re not sure if we believe this report because for Perry, who is famous for her raunchy outfits, to criticize a fellow pop star for wearing skimpy jumpsuits is just insane and hypocritical. Sure we think Miley, like Britney, is more sexual at 17 than we ever were and that concerns us, but we’re not sure the girl who shared this anecdote about fiance Russell Brand should talk. Perry said recently “Oh, I’m a World Cup widow. But . . .the World Cup does not give blow jobs. That’s one thing I win.”
Sure, you may have had a nice Christian upbringing, but that statement is not any more mature than Miley pole-dancing on-stage – especially coming from someone who simulates giving a double-fisted hand-job in her “California Girls” video. In fact, lets look at the similarities between all three pop stars, Katy, Miley and Britney:
- All have a perky name ending in Y.
- They’ve all been involved in some kind of pseudo-lesbian girl-kissing scenarios, whether on-stage or just lyrically.
- All have dated a someone in the showbiz industry.
- They’ve all exposed some serious skin at awards shows and beyond.
- Each of them has had a #1 single.
- They’ve all attempted to make the jump from music to acting.
What are we missing? They’ve all started to blend together at this point, but you see our point, there’s no need to criticize one of your own, Katy.
